Load of Accoutrements received with Longrifle Purchase

I bought a well-used long rifle about a year ago and the seller gave me all his accoutrements and supplies. He was stopping his black powder involvement due to health issues.
When I unloaded these items on my table, I didn't know the use of many of the items.
I am VERY fortunate to have just about all I need for traditional muzzleloading shooting. And, it has been quite a learning experience.

Here is my specially employed guard cat watching over my cache:


A possibles bag, powder horn, priming horn, ball bag and more was included:

I like your collection of model warbirds,all but the jets.
 What's the cat's name? We had one named "@!*%?&".

The jets are an afterthought. Hanging from the ceiling are 1/18 scale WWII aircraft. On other shelves that can't be seen in the photos are WWI biplanes.
The cat is Rusty. He spends his time draped over my shoulders when I work at my home office.
This darn muzzleloading has taken all my attention away from my curio and relic battle-rifle collection. I can't remember ever having so much fun shooting as I am with my black powder guns.

Ah, the Rifle! My understanding is that it was custom made, but I am not certain by whom. Someone told me that it is a custom Late Lancaster style “Kentucky” Rifle in .45 caliber, made by Jack Garner many years ago. Another said it was built by a maker in Wyoming, near Riverton. I am open to any opinions as to its style and period because I am only now starting to read about traditional muzzleloaders.



I started with an inexpensive "CVA Kentucky" rifle with the 2 part stock. That only stimulated my appetite.

 I have a rifle built by Jack Garner many years ago, I still love it, shoots great and is very reliable, have a "ball" withit.

In the 5th picture, what is a cylindrical item next to the short starter? Magnifier? Pill container?

That is a magnifying glass.

Mr. C, What is that gizmo, between the funnel, and the magnifying glass? looks like a coiled piece of copper wire right above it.

That is a rod puller.
I have had to use it when cleaning the rifle and the bronze brush became stuck all the way down the barrel. I simply could not get a good enough grip on the rod to pull with enough force. The device levers closed on the rod and gives the equivalent of a t- handle.

I now have a brass rod with a built in t-handle.
