Question about Mike's tutorial

In mike's tutorial on gun building, he  noted that he slotted the barrel pin holes using a jewler's saw.  Please tell me what kind of blade is used to slot a 1/16 inch hole, and where is the best place to buy them.  Thanks in advance. 

Oh.  I have been cobbling rifles, pistols, and shotguns together for 50  years, and still learned a lot from mike's post.  Thanks to you Mike.

I'm gonna guess that any blade up to 1/16" in width could be used. ;D

Try Gesswein for jewelers saw blades.

Rule of thumb is you want at least 3 teeth in the material.
#0's or #1's will work for most lugs.

The blade Mike is using appears to be round rather than the normal rectangular cross section.  My question really is what is the round blade called, so I can order some.

It's a flat blade. I get mine from Brownells or TOTW. I don't remember exactly what size of blade but it has the #4 in it somewhere.

Thanks Mike.  I do know a needle file does not work  very well for this purpose.

 I use a file with a chisel sgaped end on it. The file is 1/16" x 1/4" O cut.  they are hard to find.  The trouble with a jewelers saw is you can only watch one side at a time.
