Barrel Stamp/19th Cent. musket
« on: May 11, 2014, 06:03:35 PM »
Attached is a photo of a barrel mark found on a mid 19th century .58 cal. rifled musket.
At the top, there is a crown. Below is what appears to be a tree or something floral with 3 "+" marks to the side and underneath. Has anyone seen this mark or know its origin?  Thanks.

Hi Steve,
I think it is French, St. Etienne armory after 1820.
