Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I store my quillwork where I can enjoy it everyday, On the wall.  Read my answer to bug problems in horns.  The bugs that get into quillwork , brain tanned leather and wool are the same ones that attack horns.  When you see one moth, you have more, get out the raid and leave the house for a while.

I tend to agree with Scott. I live in farm (cattle) country and we have a fly problem. Even the stores take steps to alleviate them. Consequently, I use bug spray a lot. I have never found a problem with my stuff stored in the house. I have had problems with things brought in from other sources. I have only several pieces of quillwork and I tend to display my stuff. Guns, horns, quillwork, baskets, etc. I think that keeping the pests down is a very important step to preserving your collection while enjoying it.
