 That is a very good job on the barrel especially. You need some decoration on the lock in my opinion. I would say that the carving it a little too bold on the tang area but some of the European guns were that way. All the inlay work is great. I know how much work you did on that barrel. How about telling us your name. We don't bite.

Engraving on the lock is coming! I'll be going to the NMLRA gunmaker's workshop next month and taking Jim Kibler's engraving class. Hopefully will get some new ideas. Acer also thought the carving was a bit bold--can't really disagree.

 Greg. Here is a hint if you don't already know. Put a 30° heal on that 90 ° graver with a 45°face and you can do great things on the inside curves and inside of tight cavities in the way of excavating around the edges by turning on it's side as you described .

Thanks, Chris. I just got back from the NMLRA gunmakers seminar in Bowling Green (taking the engraving class) and started final engraving on the lock of that pistol. I'll post a pic when it's done!
