One other option is to contact Bobby Hoyt and discuss your problem. Bobby has fixed more screwed up barrels than anyone I know. He may be behind and waiting on him to fix it may be a longer wait than getting your replacement barrel. It is hard to get him on the telephone because of the running machinery. He has worked on problem barrels from me in the past and his work is top of the line. May be worth a phone call. Tim

Credit to Green Mountain - they looked at it, said the cutter chattered, and are sending me a replacement.

If there is a problem, contact the manufacturer. That should ALWAYS be the first thing to do. I have never run across anyone in this business that would not make something right; that is if it is something that they did. Once you lay hand to it is rightfully yours.

Just a suggestion,
You might be able a work a ram rod witha very narrow strip of emery cloth and work it down.
