...good protection for a good rifle. Advice: don't store the rifle in the scabbard, or it will rust. Use it to protect while transporting only.

Will the scabbard slide off of the rifle or must it be pulled off?
It looks like a good way to keep rain, snow, and ice off the rifle
while afield.
Please advise.
