Regarding the Chambers late Ketland... there was an old thread that discussed using a larger diameter roller on the frizzen spring to cure the bounce-back issue.

You need to get you a WOOWOO stick, I have one and my locks work all the time. In fact just a couple shakes of the WOOWOO usually fixes !@*%&@ near anything.
