This is a great rifle and pictures do not do is justice. Ian had it at Lewisburg and I visited it many times. Everything done to this rifle, in terms of carving and patchbox, adds to it greatly, yet it could have nothing and be a sculptural work of art. I hope the customer realizes how good this rifle is. I've often said that a plain rifle by a top maker where the lines are everything is worth more than one with everything that's artistically indifferent. This concept doesn't serve me at all since my niche seems to be very fancy rifles. It's simply true.
