Apple cider vinegar!!!

That thread on chalk reminded me of this./.......

First if I would try to steal the neighborhood kids chalk they would surely pound on me severely!   Come to think of it I really don't notice kids doing the chalk on the sidewalk thing anymore guess they can't peel themselves off the couch..   seems like

I was told that to refurbish worn files to soak them in apple cider vinegar!  Old wives tail/tale??  What can you add

Roger--It doesn't have to b apple cidre vinegar--The white distilled vinegar is only acetic acid and water, and an overnight soaking in it will help old files. The files come out with a fine black coating on them. Rinse with water and brush them. Dry the file with a paper towel.  Almost like new.  John Stein
