Bobby Hoyt- Mystery Solved
« on: October 13, 2014, 08:36:24 PM »
Has anyone heard from Bobby Hoyt lately??  I spoke to him on the phone and arranged to have a couple of pistol barrels re-bored (that was back in mid August) and then sent the barrels along.  I've left a couple of phone messages and written a letter since just to make sure the barrels arrived safely but have been unable to get a response.  I just wanted to find out if he has moved to Venezuela or ???????

Thanks

Dave C

Dave......sorry to hear of your troubles.  I have no idea of where he is, but, I do know
that he and some of his buddies like to head west and hunt for elk.  That is a problem
when you live and work in an area that is made up of cottage industries........Don

Don,

Thanks.  I hope Bobby is hunting and having a great time of it.  I'm not in any rush for the barrels, but I would like to know that they made it there safely.

Just thought I would close the loop on this thread.  I never did get in touch with Bobby directly, but when I returned from a business trip, the two pistol barrels I sent him to be bored to a larger caliber and re-rifled were sitting in a box on my porch.  They are beautifully done and I just wanted to thank him publicly and let everyone know what a superlative job he did for me....and, in my opinion, he works too cheap.

Yup, bobby is one of us that I just send work to, along with a hundred dollar check, just for 'seed money' and he'll return them when done and a bill if it ran over a C note......same with C Burton.......NEVER rush a machinist..........
