I think Jesses question just save a mistake on my part....
« on: November 12, 2014, 07:44:16 PM »
so, looking a Jesse's post about mounting the underlug pipes got me thinking.

I was about to drill the RR hole for my halfstock (that has been in work for.. well...) when I got home from work tonight. I super glued the rib to the barrel (will solder it later) and since I only have two pipes I super glued them and stretchy taped them on spaced as far as I could to use for a guide for my RR drill. They are not in their final position.

I now see that that is a BAD idea, and people say procrastination is a bad thing....

So, would someone enlighten a newbie... please...

I have the gunsmith of Grenville county but there is no coverage of a halfstock with an under rib.

Thats how I do it on 1/2 stocks. No glue just tape, works O.K.  I use an oversize drill bit so I made two pipes that will take it so a 3/8" rod will go in without having to be tapered.  Get everything in the right place & lined up,then drill it.   Done maybe 20-25 that way thru years....Lets see some pic's.....Tom
