Mountain Man knife
« on: September 24, 2014, 02:35:43 AM »
My local muzzleloading club, Okaw Valley Muzzleloaders, is having a Mountain Man shoot this coming weekend, Sept. 27th, 28th. I dusted off the old .62 Hawken, found my fire making kit, and hawk, but I didn't have a good throwing knife, so I made one this morning.

Cut the blade from some old, rusty, sheet stock I had, and made the scales from maple. The pins are made from a nail.

As in life; it’s the journey, not the destination. How you get there matters most.

That was a productive morning.  Nice job.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
