Got to shoot yesterday. I ran a new Neolithic flint. 26 shots till it failed to spark. I knapped it and it sparked well again, although not to the level it did as new. I noticed that it was comparatively more challenging to get it to flake as compared to other flints I've used, and it didn't come back as sharp as others I've used. This is just one flint, however.

My barrel took a small shallow scar from a flare on the end of the next flint I put in. I didn't notice it, but the barrel did! Thankfully, it's very small and barely noticeable. Oops.

English flints I got at Dixons last about the same number of shots before knapping, but knapped easier and got sharper, I thought. Of course, at $3.50 each vs $1.50 each, the Neolithics seem to be a good option.
