locks

I assume this is a dumb question. Other than the Rifle Shoppe who makes a 6"+ long
flat faced English lock. I have spent a lot of time searching. I can only find round faced.
I do not want to spend $300. Davis has 2 nice locks . Their Colonial which is Germanic
they say and their early English which is round faced. I am greatfull for any help.

So, exactly what are you searching for other than being 6" long or longer.  What are you trying to replicate?

Ok. Neumann's book Battle Weapons of the American Revolution page 224.
A rather plain Southern gun 1760-1770. The lock was reconverted , but wrong
to the original.  My family in the 18th century were in the Carolina's . I think
this could have been a gun style they could have used.

Hi Daniel,
Chamber's early Ketland lock is the right baby.  It is a little shorter than 6" but it has exactly the right shape for that gun.  If I were building a copy, I'd use that lock.  It also has just enough space behind the sear to fit the third lock screw, very much like the original.

I was leaning that way because of it being a Chambers lock. I can't find anything
else that's even close. TRS has some close but not going to pay that price.
