Queen Anne flask

It has been some time since I have posted anything so I thought I would get into it by posting my first attempt at a Queen Anne Flask. It is 6 1/2 in. tall with the cap and 5 1/2 in. without. At the base it is 1 3/4 in.  It is made from 3 pieces.

That is really neat. Is the cap a measure also and if so what charge?

It could be George. I think its about 70 gr. but I will have to check it to be sure. I will let you know.

Not a good idea to use the spout for a measure.  OSHA frowns on holding hand grenades near your head while loading.  Nice work.

I believe they're talking about the cap used as a measure, not pouring directly from the spout.  Nice flask, btw.

After further review (as they say in the NFL), I believe you are right.  That brings up the question of what to do with the open flask while loading.  Do you screw the cap on after measuring and pour the load, or do you put the open flask in a pocket or bag until you pour the powder and then screw it on after loading?

Personally I wouldn't use the cap as a measure. I would probably use the flask as a primer. In all honesty I don't think they would be very practical for loading, to many things in your hand.
The reason behind making one was just to see if I could work out the best method of getting threads in the cap at just the right place to let the cap tighten down against the body. I have been kind of fascinated by this style since I saw the first one.
Oh, it holds 75 grns, by the way.
