Billy Watson Knives

Does anyone know if Billy Watson is still making knives or what has happened to him?  His website is no longer active.

Billy lost an eye a few years ago, I understand the nerve just died.  He made a few after that and then about a year ago he closed down his web site.  I have several of his knives and they are first class.

Just talked with Billy Watson he's recovering from a knee replacement. He lives just up the road been friends for years. He has regained some vision in his eye. Discontinued advertizing and web site. Said he was behind due to health but would still take an order if you were the patient type. He gave me permission to post his telephone number 334 365 1482. I own several of his knives and agree he makes a fine.knife. Tim

I am so glad to hear that Billy is again banging on iron, even it is only once in a while.  He makes a great knife, one that just seems to find its way into your hunting bag or pocket when you need a sharp edge that will last through the job.

Thanks Tim for the information on Billy--I am glad that he is doing better and will be making a few knives.  I have always admired his work and when I went to his website to do some ordering, I couldn't find it.  So thanks so much and I plan to give Billy a call.

Was looking into getting another knife from him  and found a thread here.  I hope he is doing OK...

I thought you might be interested in an interview with Billy Watson.  I have three of his knives - one he made as a copy of a knife my father used for years.  The link below takes you to the interview he did with me in 2007.
