Bag and Poll Hawk
« on: February 09, 2015, 11:15:54 PM »
Here is a rust blued poll hawk with a checkered and aqua fortis stain, and a hand embroidered bag with a glass wampum strap. I am mostly a modern gunsmith, but like to play around when I have the time and money. For those of you who use the infernal device, feel free to "friend" me on facebook "Zack Buck Gunsmith" to see what we are up to in our shop day to day.

Is that pipe sheet iron or tin?
I have an original from the Civil War era that belonged to my 2nd G-Grandfather and it is actually tin. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to actually smoke it...

The pipe is iron, and I just bought it at the Lewisburg show, and am embarrassed who I bought it from, I got it right after I got there and my brain melted at some point!

That tomahawk is awesome... in fact, it's all great.

Is there a good website with ideas for early American tomahawks?
If it was easy, everyone would do it.
