Muzzleloader Builders Supply

Picked up a few items today at MBS, met Ryan and Terry Jo, both very nice people very dedicated to our passion.  Ryan gave us the tour of his shop and showed us a few of the new items that he is working on.  Once again very impressed with the amount of items that they offer and the quality and professionalism that they work and ship to.

It's always a pleasure to deal with them and I always go to them first when I'm in need of something.  If you haven't tried the TexArk flints they sell, give them a try.  They're not only excellent performing flints, they're only a buck apiece.  Which is probably why they're out of stock at the moment.  :(

I used to deal with them and was happy with the service and selection. Unfortunately they will no longer deal with us foreigners in Canada.

No idea why Bob....I tried to place an order about a week ago. Their website plainly states that they will do business with US customers only...no international orders. It's a shame, they carry parts I can't find anywhere else.

I've always had a satisfying experience in my dealings with MLBS. Would recommend them to anyone. Sorry about Canada being cut out, probably has to do with shipping issues.

Hi John,
Perhaps you could have your items sent to one of the good fellows here on ALR and they would forward the items to you.
There are no legal issues in any of these BP parts.
Many USA suppliers are refusing to send gun items here to Canada. :'(
Perhaps " Homeland Security " issues for commercial enterprises.

Getting stuff through Canadian Customs is often frustrating and when "gun" parts are involved its even worse. Even when the part does not get lost someplace. BTDT
I cannot honestly blame anyone.
While my son was in Afghanistan he had a couple of things fail. I called the company when I got the stuff back, they could not ship the stuff direct. I had to get the parts and ship them to my son. Apparently it was illegal for them the "export" the stuff.  Go to any supplier and you find notices that a lot of stuff or orders over $100 can't be shipped  outside the US.
I suspect that there is a UN "agreement" or some other law that is designed to "protect" us at work here.
Anyone TRAVELING to Canada needs to have the guns they might take checked "out" by American customs before going into Canada or reentry to the US may be refused.
Its not going to get any better.

Ryan is a member of our Gun Makers Guild BTW and has give some great classes at our Fair.  He is not just a parts seller.

Times have really changed!
Some of my most memorable times have been travelling to some shoot in in the USA.
Met some great people, and have some long standing friends.
Yes we had to get a green card for the guns we were taking with us ( so that we could return with the same gun without paying duty or taxes ), and we could buy most anything without peril.
Now we are a threat with a powder horn & flint ::)
It is hard to think of us a threat with our tactical muzzleloader.
I do hope this is not too political.
