Were wooden trigger guards ever used on some of the early rifles i.e. Moravian ?
I thought i'd like to try making one .

I have certainly never seen, nor even heard rumors of a wooden triggerguard being used on an American rifle. I SERIOUSLY doubt that it was ever done here.

My memory gets foggy but I thought I had seen a Original Hawken with a wood trigger guard In a Book . I will be Interested to see from those who know about wooden gaurds.

There was a story that the Schreit 1762 rifle originally had a wooden guard.
