That is a wonderful pistol, Mitch - how's it shoot & with what load? Particulars on the barrel?

I can not add any more praise than what was already said but I do want more info on the barrel. Did you contour the barrel or did Charlie Burton? If you did it where did you get the dimentions. I'm not a pistol builder but looking at your's makes me want to work on one - not that I don't have enough to do ;D

The barrel is pretty much all Charlie Burton.I did throw it on my lathe and clean up some of the transitions on the round section but it's pretty much as Charlie made it.He had a bunch on his table at the CLA a couple of years ago so I grabbed one.I can provide basic measurements if you need them.

You built a gorgeous pistol and your work is masterful.  It's the kind of "hand iron" I'd like to make a home for.

Just curious but is it an English or German representation?  The reason I asked - not being really up on pistols of the Rev period - is that it appears to be a Germanic lock on the pistol and none of our "cognoscenti" has criticized it. :o
Speaking for myself, it is a magnificent rendering of both wood and metal.  Too bad you won't be able to shoot it; 30 grains of 3F in my .50 prints cloverleafs at 25yds.

Hanshi

The pistol is certainly Germanic.William Antes and was born near the Moravian settlement of Bethlehem PA .The lock on the original Antes pistol was Germanic in styling and very similar to the one I used.
