Anybody hear from Don Getz?  I know he made the Lewisburg show but haven't seen posts from him lately.  Is his computer still on the fritz?

I emailed him last week but haven't heard back.  I figured he is still having puter problems.

I knew it.  Don is holed up cranking out "Barn" guns.  Probably at the rate of 1 a day.

Dave, this probably won't come as a surprise to you. But Don was getting close to finishing up another "Barn Gun" for another member of this board Eric Fleisher. It was a light weight .54 caliber rifle just under 7 lbs. Sounds as though he has orders for a few more of them.

I'd love to see pictures of Don's infamous barn rifles. Anyone have any to post?

I will have some photos to post soon.  The next barn gun is for me.  I saw it Friday in the white. Don installed the vent liner and he is doing the final clean up on the stock this weekend.  He should be staining and finishing next week and rusting the barrel. I can't wait to shoot that gun.  It is a .54 caliber, 44" Dickert barrel and it weighs in it at only 6.9 lbs.

Here is Don Getz #78.  I will take more photos of the gun tomorrow in the daylight.  I can't wait to shoot it.

Hum...  got a getz barrel just sitting here. May be i will have Don build me a barn gun out of it . Should not take more than 2 or 3 days to build it . You see it is only about 12 inches long and around .177 cal . It is the smallest Getz barrel made . I saw it at Friendship , Don made it as a lark and well, I would not leave till he sold it to me . It is just like the big ones signed and all .
