Years ago I bought a small Siler lock from Appalachian Lock Co. It has a fish symbol on inside of lock plate. They advertised in Muzzle Blasts and said they tuned and slicked up the lock.
Wouldn't be surprising if other makers used a similar mark, but Appalachian Lock Co. is where mine came from.
