Most don't, but just have Dave at knobmountain leave the butt alone when working the duplicate machine....then you can attach your buttplate, and rasp away.........most rifles are 1/8" away from having castoff.... ;D

As long as the buttplate is not inlet, most of the precarves I have seen will allow for some cast off.

Dave will inlet your barrel of to one side of a blank so you can put your cast  into the stock, just let him know what side the cast will be on.

I emailed tiger hunt and pecatonica 2 nights ago hopefully they will get back with me soon! I may just shift the but plate over on a blank and make my own cast off. That would probably be easiest!

If you were to slim the butt plate down a bit, and then off-set it, you can get a bit more cast.

I'm pretty sure Chambers kits are made with some cast off too.

I was just researching the same.
Sitting Fox Muzzleloading
Dunlap Woodcrafts
Kelly Stock Carving (same guys as Collerain Barrels)

All seemed very helpful,
