Knife #2

I feel like I am bombarding the thread with pics of these knives, but I have almost got knife #2 completed. All that is left to do is  pins and my father-in-law, who has a drill press, is going to drill my holes. There is no real historical document on this blade and I guess that its more a long the lines of historically influenced. Forged from a Nicholson file, and it holds a razor sharp edge. Its been aged lightly and hafted to a small shed that feels good in the hands. Blade length is 6 inches and overall is 10.5 inches. As always comments, and constructive criticism is always welcomed.

Blade started out as the as the rough forging on the left.

Very nice. Simple, but effective. Shaped like the one "HAWKEYE" carried in the movie. I would suggest a double set of steel pins though. Not truly necessary, but good insurance.

Yes sir, you read my mind on the number of pins...I have not seen that moving in a couple years, but I will have to watch it tonight just to see if it compares.

Maybe when I get to the point of doing an effective job on simple I will move on to more complex projects.
