Oh man Ken, that gun is so cool.  I bet with that comb line it'll shoot nicely too.  I keep going back to that big dog lock, and it makes me smile.  What a neat piece of workmanship.  You located a nice piece of maple for that gun, that's for sure.  Your iron work really makes the gun.  Well done.  Well done indeed sir.   God Bless,   Marc

That is an incredible fowler - so much character.  The trigger guard and lock really make it pop.  should be a hoot to shoot.

Jim, I have a few more pictures of the butt plate and entry thimble area that you requested. I put a slight swell in the stock at the entry area. Butt plate was hand swaged and pipes fabricated from sheet.

Call me a detail freak, but I like the pinned fastening on the tumbler. Historically correct detail that could have been overlooked and , of course, never seen from the outside.
