Patchbox Identification

Can anyone point me in the direction of the maker of this rifle.  Full Stock with Philadelphia like escutcheons.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

I dunno, Easton, somewhere in Kentucky, or NC? Nice box and from the look of it, a pretty nice rifle. Any marks on the gun?

If it had fine engraving, I'd think Kunz-related due to the very formal design/outline of the box...but the engraving appears inferior to me. From what little we can see of the gun... and based on the guard's rear scroll, nicely checkered wrist, and the rays engraved just above the box hinge, I'd suggest New York or that vicinity. Definitely not KY, as Mr. No Gold suggested (perhaps due to the extended side leaves), or did he do so tongue-in-cheek?  Shelby Gallien
