For you KY (and surrounding areas) members that have not been able to view many original longrifles, you might be interested in attending Mel Hankla's Lake Cumberland KY show Feb 5-7, 2016 longrifle show. Here is a link to more information: http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=38463.0

This is a great show in a very beautiful setting. I made my reservations yesterday, hope to see all my friends there.

If you are not a teetotaler, you should be aware that the location is a dry county-and it's a long ways to a wet one!  We learned the hard way.  Take appropriate measures.  ;)

That won't be a problem for me unless they run out of water ;D

Is the show in the same building as the lodging? Thinking of taking my wife and I might try to get a table if Mel has any left.

Dennis the show is at the same location, a different bldg but is within a short walk to the motel rooms. The restaurant is pretty good so once you get to the show you don't have to leave for anything unless you want to.

I will mention that those that do enjoy an adult bevrage you have to bring it with you as Wade mentioned it is a dry county. I will also mention that Mel has a "Whiskey Tasten" i think on Saturday evening for those that like to endulge. This has become an anual tradition at the show and seems quite popular!  ::)
