Golden age tumbler in a small Siler flintlock.
« on: February 12, 2016, 07:17:35 AM »
Finally got my rifle finished and test fired today. (pics at www.bricestultzhisblog.blogspot.com).  The golden age tumbler in the lock gives it more room at half cock and a longer stroke from full cock.  Looks a little funny at full cock, but it is a sparker.  With a sharp flint it is smooth and quick firing..  I  had the hole at .059".  Going to .063"(1/16") may help it even more, but I wanted to try it at .059 first.  ( Edit:  I realized I didn't have a full cock shot so I added one today. 2/12)
