Gun Maker C. Beel

I was looking at a rifle that a friend got the other day on the flat of the barrel it is marked C. Beel. I dont know anything about him or where he was from anyone ever hear of him ?

If you are referring to the gun for sale on the Collectors Firearms site, percussion full-stockrf rifle  supposedly marked "C. Beel," the gun is actually marked "C. Beck" for Christian Beck. This is one of his earlier rifles, appears to be iron mounted, and was possibly made in Kentucky, more probably in Indiana during his early years.  Shelby Gallien
