I was the lucky winner after Nordecker gracefully passed. The timing could not have been better. I am working on a stock pattern for a flint Hawken and this lock will go on the prototype Might have to beg Robbie to let me pay him to engrave the patchbox. The prototype will be fancier than proper for what I think the actual rifle should be. Kind of thinking the prototype will be my tribute to a riverboat captains Hawken. Not going to be ready anytime soon. Have to get moulds made for trigger guard and a lock

Congrats Don. Sounds like a great use for a very cool lock.
And Robby, thanks for your generous support of ALR.

The lock arrived today. It is even prettier than the photos. Your reshaping of the plate is a terrific upgrade. Now if I can get over the headache from falling on the ice I can get to work. It functions great too.
Thanks for the beautiful work
