Anybody's guess without any expert documentation or history. Note, that the seller is not saying that it was George Washington's horn.. just family crest.
BUYER BEWARE!

It must be legitimate. Just look at all the history the seller included on GW.

"Was this possibly carved by George Washington himself?"

Ancient Alien theorist believe the preponderance of conjecture that proves, with only a sliver of doubt, that this very well could be, perhaps, the product of George Washington carved while he sat on the stump of the famous cherry tree.

To hold something made by the hand of the great man himself would be very special indeed, I just don't see it here. If you do, please send me a postal money order, act now, I only have fifteen left.

Without provenance all those nice words amount to a pile of mule muffins, IMO.

An no returns accepted too! I never bid on anything like this. Unless there's certified documents That an actually holding the item. Still might get had. But then it's my own dang fault.

Hard to say the thing is even antique without really getting a close look at it. Its amazing at how convincing some of the horn work on this forum is. Imagine trying to tell if some of these convincing horns are real once they get half a century of age on them. It will be difficult if they aren't dated are marked somehow.
