How do you shape the point of the but stock .? What tool ?

Are you talking about the area of the comb that drops down to the wrist?

If you are referring to the termination of the comb at the wrist. I have always liked the round sureform. I clean up with a #49 cabinetmakers rasp. then finish up with a scraper. It goes pretty quickly that way.

I rough it in with a gouge then clean up with rasps and scrapers.
