Good morning-
I recently found your site and have joined, I still have about 150 pages of past discussions to look thru so I shouldn't be asking many questions.  I've been building muzzle loaders for quite a few years now.  As far as instruction goes it been 95% self taught so I may have some different ways of doing things that are not "traditional" and as always welcome constructive criticism.  I started off assisting the build of cannons and used cannon safety as a guideline for my projects.  To date I have not built a long rifle as much of what I enjoy is of an earlier time period.  Most of my work has been repairing India guns (I like learning what makes a lock tick) and blunderbusses, although I have been known to make a mortar or volley gun from time to time.  Dealing with an earlier time period most of my parts I use are from TRS.

One of my more interesting projects, a "hand cannon"

A blunderbuss pistol I did (bottom)

And my first attempt at a Nock Volley

Welcome to the forum. Cannons....some of the coolest muzzle loaders of all time. Those must be fun to build and fire. I can see that upsetting the neighbors. This is a hugely informative site. Once you've searched the past posts and still have questions, there's generally someone here that's happy to help you out.

This is the cannon Ive got on the back burner currently, Ive done a couple waxes that will be ready to have cast without too much more work.  Im going to do a bronze shell around a steel barrel as casting in bronze would be over 5 grand.  As far as help goes I would really like to find someone who knows the intricacies of the miquelet lock and timing as the geometry is quite different from your typical flint.
