Looking for trigger
« on: December 21, 2012, 08:43:20 PM »
Looking for trigger as typically seen on JP Beck and sometimes on Dickert rifles.  This would be a pinned in wood single trigger and have the squared bottom with the blade being about  vertical, not slanted back to toward the butt.  Anyone know where I might find this style?  Don't have welder or forge to make it myself.  Looked at TOW and Muzzleloading builder supply, Knob mountain already.  Guess if I don't find one I will have to hacksaw and file one from piece of steel.

Jerry, I cold forge my single triggers, have not needed a forge to do them. It might make it a little faster not sure.

I just moved this tutorial over from the archives board. It should walk you through the process: http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=24661.0
