Dennis, I am unclear, This IS a percussion rifle.
I personally am not knowledgeable in the history of peep sight design.

Mr. Kelly it wasn't you it was me. You mentioned a BP drilling and I mentioned a non BP drilling made by the same dude. My bad, not yours. Thanks for your help and taking the time to post pics. Like I said, I hope you make it one county over and post more pics. Maybe info on that rear sight.
