whats the best way to remove comet flux?
so it wont keep rusting the part

Soap, water and elbow grease?? Maybe some cleanser.
In the future, tin the part with the acid flux. Clean all flux off. Re coat with rosin flux. Then sweat the parts together. You really don't want to trap acid flux in the joint.

Google "Kapp Comet Flux MSDS"
Hydrochloric acid and zinc chloride flux. It will promote rust in the joint over time.
