A beautiful piece of workmanship! Where did you find that lock and do you have a contact number for the gentleman that made it? Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.

Thank you. It is a Mike Rowe lock that Caywood sells (or sold).
It is based on a mid 18the century  English lock of high quality. An identical  original can be seen on a James Barbour duck gun in Keith Neal's Packington book, Great British Gunmakers 1740-1790

For anyone interested, I just found a copy of this book in excellent condition on fleabay.
