I know there are many styles, but what are the "standards" on the patchbox as it pertains to the hinge? - Is the hinge straight and not following the curve of the stock(making a "flat" part on the patchbox), or do you curve it to match the curve of the stock, making a "non" straight hinge and Pin? I have seen both, mostly in photographs where it's difficult to tell, but didn't know if curving the hinge too much would make it bind. I know if the hinge pin is curved too much, the lid will bind while opening.
Just looking for any basic thoughts on a "flat" patch box hinge area vs a "Curved" one...
Thanks, Jon
