Hello all, a rainy day as usual here on the mountain. Got to digging thru drawer and found these cannons. The lefty is a 1 1/8 .62 cal beast I built back in 1987.My right hand was sore from too much mechanic work, so I built it mostly with my left, and it fits my left hand very well. Rt hand ok. I think I got the barrel from Bill Large ,maybe the wood too. It was a real treat stuffing that barrel into the wood available. I never really noticed the angle of the top from breech to muzzle. Oh well. This thing is a handful w 30 g 2f and a 610 prb. With shot not so much.
The righty is recent,2014 using a 15/16 .54 barrel I got from Dennis Glazner. I never thought about the locks when building the 54 until just now ,they both Ashmores. In 1987, I had been into this hobby about 10 years.
In 2014 , I had been back in since 2008.
I have enjoyed the fellowship of many kindred souls over the years, and especially you fellows here.
I hope the pics from my phone are ok.
Best regards, Dave F
