CLA Donation Knife ****Now Completed****
« on: January 31, 2017, 07:38:40 AM »
This is going to be a donation piece for the CLA's 2017 auction as a part of the John Fraser project. Everything is just being assembled to make final tweaks and address any issues. The blade has been forged from 1084, guard and furrell from mild steel and the handle was hand turned and came off an antique file that was around 75+ years old. With Fraser's background as a Scot I decided to go with a dirk style blade. Looking forward to having this project finished up in a couple days.

I like it.
When a nation forgets her skill in war, when her religion becomes a mockery, when the whole nation becomes a nation of money-grabbers, then the wild tribes, the barbarians drive in... Who will our invaders be? From whence will they come?

Nice!!!          I have commissioned Casey to build me a knife. I`m looking forward to it. I need to go ahead and order somemore as they will get harder to get and more expencive  when everybody else finds out how good he is and, only getting better. He had some blades with him at the Alabama show that were very impressive.   Watch Out!!!                       Nathan

This project is now completed and overall I am happy with it. Heather made the side seam sheath out of Elk hide with a beeswax coating.
