Such a lot of words typed out in this thread for such a generic term...not every longrifle has to be built to copy an original..build what suites you and be proud of what you have created..

Agree, as long as it's not an abomination.   :)  This site is dedicated to the historical longrifle.

Agree,also....keep within the boundries,do your research..build the best rifle you can and respect the tradition of the Americanlongrifle and keep it historically accurate. ..You can't go wrong
