A buddy and I are leaving early Friday to come for the day.  Nice weather and no snow this year, have to take advantage of those conditions!!  We're even giving up the next to last day of goose season for the year to come, so you should all feel honored.   ;)

Been to the Lewisburg show 8 times.  It really hurts not to be there this year.  I will miss the Yuenglings the Town Tavern burgers and the camaraderie.  There is an upside to all of this, I spent my Lewisburg money on a mill.  I know you will all have a great time.  I will be thinking of you guys.

Most everyone is setup and ready to wow the public !!Lots of neat stuff to look at and really makes me wish I had more money to burn ... really nice stuff !!
The weather , even though a bit chilly , is dry and favorable for travel .

Dave , I thought of you as I slurped down few of those yuenglings and enjoyed my Miff burger !!! Most likely will repeat the act this evening !!!

Was at Lewisburg today. Big crowd. Great show. Picked up a couple horns and  straps, a few ramrods and some other miscelaneous parts. Will be more people tomorrow.

It was very crowded this morning, but cleared out enough around lunchtime to see more for us (I think everyone went in to the buffet counter in the restaurant).  Great show as always, picked up a few neat items.

Had a great time today....had to split just after noon so I could get home in time to pick up my kids from school, and then realized I needed a powder horn for the rifle I picked up today. D'oh!

Got to see so much cool stuff, talk to lots of folks, and just enjoy what a welcoming hobby this is. Everyone was polite, even in crowded aisles, and everyone was interested in sharing their knowledge and craft.

Allen is trying to plant the seeds of a fowler in my mind, too.....

Got there about 0930 this morning, already a nice crowd.  The wife hit the gift shop.  Made every show so far. Great time.

LOTS of pictures PLEASE !!!

Thank you.

Sounds like a great show. Hear in Michigan we're lucky if you see one flintlock at any of the gun shows up north. Wished I could of made it. Oldtravler

Beautiful rifle. Looks just like my Allen Martin Berks Co. shimmel.

What caliber is it? Mine's a .50

36.

I need to counterbalance the 62 he built me a few year ago (seen in the 2-rifle pic I posted). :)

I got to shoot the 36 today. it's a fun little bugger. And makes me like the schimmel style rifle even more. I thought the aesthetics were pretty cool, but shooting it today, I really enjoyed it.
