Some forged rifle furniture

Tried my hand at forging out some southern rifle furniture. I might have to start making these for my rifles. I like them.

Thanks. I think it would be North Carolina style. I saw one on there that was made, and I made it similar, but a little different.

Justin,
Looks pretty good.  My only comment would be to try and square up the bend from the front extension to the front bow of the trigger guard.  The bend has a bit too much radius.  Keep hammering.  I have to forge up a couple of guards later this month.  Been putting off dragging my forge out of the shop until the weather improves a bit.

Looking great Justin.  Listen to Dave Rase. If that bend is squared off it will look neater and be easier to inlet because the base inlet into the wood will be flat.

Looks great to me. I've been wanting to try that also but can't find the time to finish fixing my forge. I'd be very pleased to be able to do that well.

Looks great. I agree about squaring that bend. I like to upset some to get more meat there for that square bend. Butt plate looks good, got the double radius in there good.
