good quality super glue?

Does super glue vary? If so how could I get some small tubes of the good stuff?
                             Thanks, Turtle

I use a commercial quality super glue called EZ Bond. It is available on Evilbay. It comes in thin, medium, and thick. The accelerator will set the glue in 30 seconds.

I have used this glue for years to put wood overlays on bows. Never had one come off yet. I use it for longrifles when I don't have time for wood glue.

I get a lot of my penmaking supplies from these people.  https://www.exoticblanks.com/Wooden-Wonders-CA-Glues/

Their CA glue is fresh, the old stuff gets thicker as it ages until it solidifies,  They have fast service.

I use superglue a good bit in my bow making and believe there is a difference from one brand to another. The Dollar Store stuff won't hardly glue your fingers together, better not try that with Loctite.

I use a thin glue called Zap-A-Gap to saturate punky wood to stabilize it, it flows like water into the wood.

It doesn't vary much as there are only a few manufacturers except in viscosity. Get the name brands though like Loctite, CA Plus etc. Super glues have a very short shelf life, when you buy the cheap stuff, no telling how long it has been laying around in some warehouse and it gets thick and loses any ability to actually glue stuff together. Be careful with your solvents as well as lacquer thinner/acetone will dissolve it or soften it. One trick when using superglues, while you can buy accelerators which instantly set the glue, baking soda works just as well and might get you out of a pinch. It will leave a white line that may not be desirable if exposed but if is in a hidden area might save the day. Personally, I stay away from CA glues, I prefer Titebond III as it makes a more invisible glue line, is more forgiving and seems to last longer. I realize some people like and swear by it and have outstanding results.
When I was in the Air Force in the early 1970's, some genius decided we needed a 1 gallon can of super glue to work on Flight Simulators. (?!) It was amazing how a bunch of bored guys on night shift could get into so much mischief so fast. I always wondered if that Colonel that forgot to lock his office door one night, ever got that Penthouse centerfold off of his floor.

I buy the EZ Bond glue in bulk, and keep it in the refrigerator. I have never had it go bad. I've been using the same bottle of thin glue for several years. I use the thick glue for most things, and use it up faster. I clamp glued pieces for an hour or so without the accelerator, before working on them.

Don't use CA glues on wood that will be stained later, or you will see a glue line on the joint, and all around the joint where the glue soaked into the wood. I like hot hide glue for a repair that will show. It can be cleaned off the surface with a rag and warm water. It is also reversible.

You can cover up a CA glue line with an artist's brush and leather dye. Put on the dye in a thin line that covers the Ca joint, let it dry and put on more and more until the line is gone. Next I put a few coats of tru-oil over the leather dye to lock it in place as it is only on the surface, then I put a coat or two of Chambers finish over the tru-oil.

Use of the accelerator will set thin or super thin CA instantly (creating some heat in the process), and the thicker varieties a little less quickly - but still quite fast. The faster the glue sets, the weaker the joint.
If gluing up cuts or dry checks in your fingers, do not use the accelerator - that stings like a scorpion strike! I've never been stung by a scorpion, but figure it's gotta be pretty close or maybe not quite as much as the accelerator in a cut!  The accelerator might also be somewhat toxic?
