Another Brown Lobed Horn

 The basics for this one comes form Grinslade's Powder Horns Documents Of History,Pg 18.

 It is about 13 1/2" around the outside curve, the Butt is about 2 3/8", Pine, held by 6 Wooden pegs. Panels and finish all scraped. Color is the same ole' Brown mixture just left it in a long time and buffed with shoe polish.

I prefer horns like this where the shape is not hidden by too much other "stuff". Very sculptural.

I'm designing a few horns to build next winter when I don't want to go outside. I may have to color one similar to this.

That is so cool brother.  That deep stain looks super. 

I am with Smokey, it does look like a fish, in a really cool way. 

Just thinking out loud here.....what would a "fish tail" stopper look like on there? 

In any event, that is one silky smooth looking horn with mighty fine lines.  No bling needed.
