I love how smooth everything is, and it looks like no built up shiney finish at all on the wood.

This is another great looking rifle.  One of these pics may be my new screen-saver!  It would not be the first one of your rifles that became a screen-saver. My complements.

Mike, the guard is from Brad Emig. The first thing I do at Dixons is scout his table for cool stuff. This guard is actually a match for an early Shroyer fowler.
Thanks for all the compliments ,but there's a few things I would change in hindsite.  The carving area behind the cheekpiece is to constricted. I should have shortened the cheekpiece and given  myself more room.
The trigger got a lot of attention at Dixons. It doesn't touch the guard. You can get a piece of paper under it. But it would have looked better from an artistic standpoint with a visible space.
The thing I like most about the rifle is the very thick wrist. It was intentional. Not that I like thick wrists but rather  to see if I can make it work. I like it.
