A great representation of a little known school.  Iron mounted rifles like this were common in piedmont North Carolina in hte late 18th eand early 19th centuries -  Bill Ivey's book shows numerous orginals -  Marc has done a fine job of capturing the architectural details and simple decoration on the mounts.

Thanks for the comments guys. It has been a while since I have been able to get on the internet to post.
Work has been extremely busy lately.

Tony I like the rifle you posted. It looks close to the one that I used for inspiration. By any chance was the rifle signed in any way? The guard on this one seems more simlar to the holston rifle than the one that I used for inspiration. Cool gun to post Thanks

Marc, I thought you might have seen this gun it was down at Bowling Green one year. Wallace had it and it was displayed in the gun room.
