Restore a Swedish M 1791/1805 Repairs Model Musket.

Hi Guys!
The stock with its part is a 1747 m and I will use a 1791 lock. The lock have probarly been in a fire, so I must reharden springs and frizzen. And make missing screws.I start making the missing sear from scrath. My Swedish buddy Anders tell me when they do repairs models they use what they have on hand!

I like the way you plug the previous hole drilled so the drill bit does not wander back into that hole when you drill the next one (I assume that is what is going on). Nice trick.

Thank you guys! New sear(Caseharden) and screw(1/4x20) done.Sear spring reharden. This BIG lock have no bridle.

Runastav,
I first must say i really enjoy your posts!  I am not a good student of European military weapons.
Do you find many of these guns with unbridled tumblers?  Seems problematic for a military weapon.  I suppose the designers didn't worry about it much as these were likely not made to last for an extended period.
Just wondering on a rainy Sunday here in Georgia.

SingleMalt, yes!   Buffaload, have not seen many
So the lock is ready so far, new screws and reharden all springs and caseharden the frizzen. A BIG lock yea, 7 " length see my smallest lock made by Joh.Conrad.Stohr  4-1/4" length. The next will be the stock.

Hi Guys! The flash hole was bad, so my supertigwelder buddy Alf Jostein welded it up . The musket is now completed, in proto with my last build also with a Swedish musket barrel the Brown Bess :)
