ID a lock - LS in a box

Does anyone know who would have made a large Siler flint lock marked with  "LS" in a box on the inside surface of the plate?   I can't see any other marks.

For many years Silers have been built by many people for distribution/sales, you might get lucky have someone let you know, but as said, lots of people have built them.   If the lock functions properly, I wouldn't worry about the initials, and just build a rifle around it.

A few photos...   debating whether to sell this, or keep it for a build someday.  Only issue is that I'd likely build a kit, so having a different lock may complicate a kit build (whereas using the lock for the kit, i.e. Chambers, etc would alleviate this issue).

The Siler I bought in 1978 also has LS on the inside but they're not in a box. Can't remember who I bought it from but it was at Friendship.

I have a stock that I'm making for a 7/8 barrel but don't have a lock for the rifle yet...

Guess you could always sell it "as is" and move onto other things.
